RAINNE Drops Creepy Cool Single, “Spiders”
Dark-Pop Duo’s new single is redefining what will keep you up at night
Los Angeles, CA – Creepy, yet contagious; RAINNE’s latest single “Spiders” is the terrifying lullaby that you can’t get out of your head. Sticking true to their dark-pop style, “Spiders” features an immersive soundscape of spine-chilling textures, a driving saxophone hook, and a vocal performance that is not only powerful, but playfully in character to some of the most iconic horror films. "Spiders” is now available to stream and download on all digital music platforms.
RAINNE’s new single “Spiders” might just be the lullaby of your nightmares. With a hypnotic, pulsating beat and indelible melodies, “Spiders” is bound to creep into mind and stay there for days and weeks to come. Written as a metaphor about uncontrollable, fixating thoughts, “Spiders” is an unconventional take on a far too familiar experience for many. “Spiders” was co-written by RAINNE’s lead singer Annie Dingwall and Producer-Artist Nico Collins, who also produced the song. RAINNE has previously teamed up with Collins on their feisty 2020 single “Nosebleeds.” Perhaps the most notable addition to RAINNE’s repertoire is the prominent saxophone hook featured on “Spiders.” “All of our recordings feature a sax, but oftentimes it is presented in pretty unconventional ways,” explains RAINNE’s saxophonist Justin Klunk, “so we are excited to feature it in its more recognizable form here.”
Los Angeles-based alt-pop duo, RAINNE are drenched in emotional catharsis and weighted in darkness that can be felt everywhere in their sonic universe. Both classically trained -- comprised of singer-songwriter Annie Dingwall and saxophonist/engineer Justin Klunk -- they blend a sophisticated pop songwriting prowess with a late-night drive encompassing the west coast's charisma, ultimately offering a twisted cocktail of sassy and sinister pop. The duo, who met at a GRAMMY camp, played together for years before fully cementing their creative chemistry in 2018.
Previously, RAINNE had the privilege of opening up the Hollywood Bowl for Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, and more at the Seventh Annual 97.1 Amp Radio's We Can Survive charity concert, beating out over 14,000 artists who all competed for the chance to play on the prestigious Los Angeles stage. Most recently, their last single, “Monster” was featured in the Top 5 of Los Angeles’ KROQ Locals Only Radio Show hosted by Kat Corbett.
“Spiders” is available to stream or download on digital music platforms worldwide. Stay up to date with RAINNE’s latest releases at RAINNEmusic.com.
